I collect what I love and I love collecting images. Like many folk, I take loads of images on my iPhone and with my digi camera (when I can be bothered taking it out of it's case!). I archive these like a crazy person, amassing a ridiculous number of images that it's likely only I'm interested in looking at. You never know when you'll need them though - the benefits of collecting might be realised sometime way in the future.
